Pip n Jay 20s Community
We are a group in our twenties taking on our own faith, following Jesus to be able to live out life to the full as He wants....We also have parties.
The usual routine is to go and pray with the church on the first Thursday of the month; the second week meet as core groups (smaller discipleship groups) on whatever day suits your group; the third week we come together for a meal and look at the bible; and the fourth week we meet as core groups again. If there is an extra week in the month we meet up with another community group to get to know the rest of the church.
We are a community of students who are keen to know more about our Heavenly Father and how he is growing us to impact Kingdom growth in our city. We want to share Jesus’ good news with those around us in our halls, houses, campuses and work places through the way we live, worship and speak. We are after the purposes that God has for us, knowing His nature and our hearts better by the day, and seeing that as He transforms us, He transforms the city around us.
A group who run a monthly family morning with crafts, storytelling and worship to share bible stories with children and reach parents in the local community.
We provide a much needed time of fellowship for families in the local area of Knowle, and get to know parents whilst their children enjoy making, playing and singing. All topped off with a yummy lunch and cakes!
Thursday Community is mostly made up of people over 60 (because they are the ones who are available to meet in the day) but some younger people attend as well. We are not an exclusive group and always welcome newcomers. We are an eclectic group, involved in serving God in our local communities, as well as in the city. Our desire is to spread the gospel where we are and as a group, we are planning to include special events to which we can invite our non-Christian friends and neighbours.
Whole families meeting together every fortnight to share breakfast and life, praise God and disciple one another. Mums and babies/toddlers meeting together every week for friendly fellowship and cake, whilst the babies play and have fun!
We want to create a safe place for parents and their children to come, be supported and make friends, to gather whole families as a wider community growing in faith and fellowship together, with a heart to serve families in difficult circumstances and situations. We want to ultimately see whole families, who don't, come to know Jesus.
We are building community and neighbourhood friendships and are making connections through hospitality and witness where we each live, work and socialise. We meet to share and follow what God is saying through the Bible and by worship and prayer we seek to be obedient to God’s word and to put it into practice through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We support each other in our Christian walk and encourage each other in missional discipleship, personal responsibility and accountability.
A community for those who are a part of the Sunday club team at Pip n Jay seeking to disciple each other, grow in leadership and share the gospel with children on Sunday mornings. We want to join with parents as they bring up their children in the love of Christ, and cover the families at Pip n Jay in prayer and practical help and support.
Meeting on the last Wednesday of each month at 8pm at Pip n Jay to share with one another and to plan the upcoming month’s Sunday Club sessions.
We are a group of twenties and thirties that meet in Bedminster weekly to spend time with one another and study the Bible. We aim to grow in our love for each other and for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In each of the meetings we have we either socialise, study, or maintain accountability with each other.
The Dings & City Centre
A community group for people who live near the centre of Bristol and want to find out more about Jesus, and what it means to follow him together.
Everyone is welcome to join in and bring friends as they meet once a month at Helen and Bern’s home. They share a meal and chat about life. Some people who come have been Christians for a while. Others are just interested in what God, Jesus and faith are about.
People who want to look deeper into a life following Jesus meet in smaller groups, a couple of times each month, to share experiences, pray, read the Bible and apply it to life together.
Combining the love of food, people and sharing the gospel! This is a bi-monthly meeting for Christians to invite a non-Christian friend along to have dinner with us and hear something about Jesus.
The evening cost £15 per person and includes a 2 course diner, a drink and coffee to finish accompanied by a gospel-centred talk.
This community is led by Judith Pratt, Sue Thompson and Sheila March
