As a church we aim to encourage all members to develop and use their abilities and gifts. We seek to provide ways to discover and affirm spiritual giftings and ministries, and to help each member find the areas of ministry God has for them in church life. Several small groups have used an eight-week S.H.A.P.E. study course to help identify their ministries. We then put this into practice, supporting existing ministry workers and gradually drawing people together into new or extended teams. We appreciate the best of what is happening, and carry forward expertise from shared experiences. We also aim to provide Jesus-led pastoral ministries. We encourage members to build their experience, to be able to give non-professional counselling and pastoral care, and we train pastoral workers. We seek wisdom to decide as a church where and how God wants us to work. We aim to reach out into the community, to help those in need, and to provide care and support to members of the church. It is also our aim to welcome newcomers and help them fit into the church family and body. We seek to build up the welcoming team, and to encourage members to organise and provide personal hospitality. If you have any questions or you would like to contribute, please contact Rod Thompson.
