In Pip n Jay's Sunday morning services in Spring 2010, teaching was focused on the prophet Jeremiah, who spoke God's words to the people he lived with. What can we learn from him today?
In spring 2010, Pip n Jay's Sunday evening teaching was focused on spiritual disciplines. What are they, and why does God tell us to keep them? How can they help us follow Jesus and make a difference in the world?
The position of a new Priest-in-Charge for Pip n Jay is now being re-advertised. Just as we have proceeded so far by faith, we continue to believe that God will bring His choice of leaders to consider the job, and call one to take it. For our part, we must continue to seek God's will and align our hearts with His.
Prayer is essential for the right leader of our church.
We hope you will continue to pray individually, with your family and with church groups. Here are some prayer points to consider:
Prayer Point Guide:
Give thanks for past blessings as part of the Pip n Jay family
Focus on ‘not my will but your will be done’
Key prayer focus: pray for the presence of God to ensure His choice becomes our leader and not our personal preference
Ask God to speak directly to His chosen person
Pray that person will hear the Lord clearly and have assurance of God’s call to serve and lead at Pip n Jay
Pray for Godly wisdom and guidance by the Holy Spirit for all those who are involved in the selection process
Pray for unity within Pip n Jay; that everyone will acknowledge and accept God’s chosen one.
