Did you know that there are 30 people in a Pip n Jay group who are ready and willing to pray for you when they receive an email?
Are you struggling with a problem – spiritual or practical?
Would it help to know that people are praying for you?
Then email Meryl - or should she be away, email Sally Thomas.
A Prayer Chain has been operating since 1981, started by Meryl Widdecombe, and over the years it has changed, from ladies telephoning one another in a ‘chain’ effect, to a network of men and women being notified of prayer requests mainly by email.
As each member of the network opens his or her email, they will pray for your specific need. Even if each one only prayed for one minute on that one occasion, that’s 30 minutes of prayer - just for you - and many of the pray-ers will hold on to some of those requests and bring them before God on other occasions.
Meryl would like it known that it’s not just a ‘sick list’. Although those who are ill are obviously in our thoughts and prayers, the prayer network is for all sorts of requests such as:
- job interviews
- exam stress
- journey protection
- coping with a difficult situation
- resisting a temptation
- spiritual problems
- guidance for direction
- struggling with doubts
No request is too small and confidence is respected. Obviously some matters are more confidential than others and if a request is extremely confidential, it would be good for the pray-ers to know that. They also like to know the outcome of their prayers, so it’s good to receive items for praise.
You can contact Meryl Widdecombe or Sally Thomas for prayer. |
