RE:SOURCE is a new course for disciples who want to make disciples and become more like Jesus. We will look deeply into God's calling to us through a mixture of prayer and worship, teaching, practical exercises and time grow relationships with each other, as well as with our neighbours and colleagues.
You can see what we have been doing on our new RE:SOURCE website. We'll post our notes there every week, although some might seem a little mysterious without a little explanation from someone who was there!
The best way to take part is to join our Monday night sessions, 7.30 to 9.30pm in the church lounge. It's not too late to join in even if you missed the start. Contact Charlie Gardiner for more info and to reserve a place.
In Spring 2011, Tim Silk's first series of talks was on the letter Paul wrote to the church in Philippi, a regional centre of trade, which has lots of good advice for us too. You can read the letter here.
Our first series of 2012 looks at the book of Acts and how we see Jesus' work carrying on through his first disciples, empowered by the Holy Spirit. What does this mean for us as disciples making disciples today?
In May 2011, the Bishop of Bristol addressed church leaders and wardens from around the city at Pip n Jay on the subject of church growth. Here is the talk, which you can also download from here.
Seeking first... Giving
We aim to "seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness..." - so how should this affect our giving? How are we able to give in tough times? And what is God wanting to say to us about this right now?
