Giving Is Good For You

The Bible says that if you give, God will so give to you that you will be able to give even more. Your giving capacity is intended to grow. To those outside the Church God’s economy seems stupid. God is saying the way to prosper is to give your money away. Giving is very good for you.

Here we present a special set of teachings which Malcolm Widdecombe is giving at a worldwide conference of Anglican clergy, for you to download and enjoy.

SeedsPip n Jay has a generous bunch of people who give money to support the work of the church and others around the world. If you've ever been to a church you probably remember collection plates, but you might not know that Pip n Jay has been giving away more than half of the money it raises every year for over 30 years.

Greg Sharples writes:

People always get sick. It seems illness is just part of life, but when we hear about someone we are close to or someone who’s young being struck down with something serious, it can make us realise just how wrong that is! The worship team at Pip n Jay are responsible for ensuring that our acts of corporate worship enable everyone to come into the presence of God and give him glory.

The team consists of Rob Hook, Alasdair Groves, Geoff Hall and Jill Kells. Jill is also music co-ordinator for all services.

Pip n Jay is blessed to have excellent musicians and service leaders, and a diverse range of individuals prepared to put their time in at the services. Most importantly, the congregation is willing to engage in different styles of worship.

One current area of growth in our corporate worship is the time we spend together with children, helping their faith to grow and making this enjoyable. We are also introducing new ideas into worship as new people of different ages join us.

We are committed to excellence in worship because we do it to honour the living God, and he deserves the very best we can offer.

To find out more and get involved, have a chat with any of the worship leaders after a service at Pip n Jay.
