We were sent here for a purpose
Some things are too good, too exciting to keep to ourselves.
The life we believe God wants us to have is one of those things. So we naturally end up sharing with our friends, neighbours and colleagues.
Jesus called his followers to be ready to go anywhere, to the ends of the earth if called, and we support lots of people who are taking big steps as part of God's mission to engage with people.
Our belief is that God made people brilliantly to thrive in loving relationships with each other and, by necessity, with God, the source of love. But since the beginning of human history, people have been rebellious against God. We have thought we could manage by ourselves, wanted our own way and ignored the damage that caused ourselves and each other.
However, God had a plan to restore our relationship with him. It involved a unique person in history who was not just a man, but also God. Jesus was able to demonstrate the full potential of human life in relationship with God, and he attracted followers who wanted to be like him, do what he did, and be part of God's plan to change the world for the better.
Being on mission with Jesus might involve a lot of travel, and it certainly involves a lot of life change, but it's something we do wherever we are, and many of us are firmly based in Bristol right now.
This structure shows something about how we get together to grow as followers of Jesus and be on mission together with him.
