I'm new! What do I do?

Bristol is a fantastic, vibrant city with lots of creative culture, places to see, people to meet and stuff to do.

If you're making time to be part of a church, we'd expect that's not because you had nothing else to do. If you want to join us in following Jesus and working out what it means to live on mission with him, we'd love to help you get settled in.

Join us on Sundays

Let's start with church. The best way to drop in and start getting to know us is probably a Sunday gathering - we meet at church at 10.30am for a family-friendly morning service, and at 6.30pm for an evening service with a few more young adults and students. Whichever you choose, you will find lively worship, lots to think and pray about - including inspiration and challenges from the Bible - and a wide range of people to share it all with.

If you have children, they are always welcome to join us in the mornings. There is a creche for the youngest and exciting Sunday Club activities for primary and younger secondary school children, and it's free to take part. On the first Sunday morning of each month, we have the whole service together as a fun Community Communion with shared lunch afterwards - come and be our guest!

After each service you can get to know people better over a tea or coffee (it's actually nice coffee!), and in the evenings there is usually more socialising to finish in The Bridge Inn over the road.

Find your place on Tuesdays

From January until Easter 2013, we're asking everyone who wants to call Pip n Jay home to meet together on "VIP Tuesdays". This is where we are putting the church Vision Into Practice, and what will emerge will be smaller groups across the city which each have their own focus on following Jesus in a practical way. You can find dates and information about these meetings here.

Where else can you take part?

There are also some more specialised gatherings, such as prayer on Tuesday lunchtimes for workers in the city, and discipleship groups for teenagers on Thursday nights. You can see most of our events listed at the bottom of this page, and we give out a weekly diary with more details at church.

Come as you are

At Pip n Jay, we are all about bringing our whole selves to a life of faith and hope, so we're usually finding lots of other ways to explore and enjoy life in a great city. We've listed some helpful city guides below. If you are discovering Bristol and finding things you like, please share them on our Facebook group, where we also swap stories and plan a few get togethers.

We hope this helps you get to know us a bit better, and we look forward to seeing you when you get a chance!
