Progressing Operation Roof

As the first quarter of 2017 draws to a close, we have an opportunity to reflect and give thanks for all that the Lord has been doing. A few things I want to give glory to God for are the news about the funding for the building project. Things are ticking along nicely and I am meeting with the Architect on a regular basis to progress the plans and specifications. The terms of the grant require us as an organisation to engage the community with our historic building. I hope soon to reconvene the Discovery Team as we look to communicate the significance of the site in Bristol as the Lord has been at work throughout the centuries. We have also recently received permission to replace the extension roof and I am working with Rod Thompson on an appropriate solution, which will include installing brand new level-access into the extension corridor. If you are passionate about our site/historic buildings, or have skills which could help us develop and maintain our site, I really need your help! The more people that really own and get behind the building project, the more effective we can be. Please get in touch with me if you are interested in helping in some way!

The ‘Hearing from God’ weekend we had in February with Liz Evans was a real time of breakthrough and intimacy. She prophetically called us into a new season as a church and encouraged us to be listening to God for one another and tell people what He says. Some of us were out of our comfort zone and some people flourished. None the less, it was a really special time as a family to press into what the Lord is saying to us.

More recently, ‘The Turning’, which happened in the run up to Easter, saw the building being used all week to help people to encounter the risen Lord Jesus before going out into the city to tell people about Him.

Thank You Jesus for all these things//Thank you that you inhabit the praises of your people//Thank You that you love us; are for us and not against us. We stand firm and hope on your promises and ask Father for more of you in our lives. Help us//Guide us//Sustain us we Pray! Amen

If you have a testimony that you would like to share with us, please contact Naomi in the
office or speak to one of the leadership team. We might even ask you to write it up and
publish it in the next copy of this update.
