Old Market is part of Pip n Jay's parish area - it runs next to the roundabout adjacent to the church. Cut off from the central shopping area of Bristol by road construction in the 1960s, it was neglected for decades but has recently been undergoing development and renewal.

The OMCA is a group of local residents and businesses set up to protect the Old Market Conservation Area, gather and represent local views, and develop a sense of community in the area.
