Diary of a local missionary - week 3 |
|
Greg Sharples writes: Another deceptively cold day on the streets of the Dings. Joe Bean, my co - missionary was regretting the jumper and no jacket decision......will summer/spring ever arrive! It was another fun time meeting a diverse group. It's remarkable how friendly people seem to be. There is a growing number of opportunities to serve the neighbourhood in a practical way. Lots of people wanting lawns mowed, fences put up and rubbish to be removed. So i'll be looking for some regular helpers....
It's exciting as i keep bumping into the locals and managing to have some good conversations. We're also really starting to feel the benefit of having our small group/cluster(a group of small groups which have a shared mission focus) organised around mission as it means that there are things regularly going on that i can just invite people to! There also seems to be a picture of how a very intentional mission team, could resource a small group/cluster. I'm excited! Blessings Greg xx more reports will follow - you can contact Greg here. |
