In 2008 Caroline, one of our church members, spent two months in the Iris Mission School in Mozambique.(www.irismin.com). It was a very life changing experience for her. Now you have the chance to help Caroline make a difference to the lives of babies and children in Madagascar.
Caroline writes, "During the school God gave me several visions of babies being abandoned and left to die in Madagascar. It was really horrible and made me cry! In the visions some of the tiny babies were abandoned at night in dumpsters full of trash. God showed me his broken heart for the unwanted babies in Madagascar". She felt a strong call from God to return to Madagascar, where she had worked in 2006, to start a home for abandoned babies. It will be an Iris base in that country.
Operation Baby Rescue is a very exciting project that Caroline is hoping to start in 2009.She writes," We are going to build and open a baby house for abandoned babies and then go on to take in street children to live with us as well. These children are going to know how special they really are, and how much they are loved by their beautiful heavenly Father, who longs to restore these precious ones back to life."
Operation Baby Rescue will need a huge amount of finance and initially Caroline needs capital to buy land on which to build the baby house. If you would like to make a donation, please send it to Pip n Jay Church (OBR), Tower Hill, Bristol, BS2 0ET. Please indicate if you are a UK taypayer, and would be happy for gift aid to be claimed on it. Please make cheques payable to 'SS Philip & Jacob Vestry'.
As an alternative gift you could donate a square metre (or more!) of land for the baby house, at a cost of £7 per square metre. Gift certificates are available and will be mailed to you. Simply send your name, address and a contact phone number or email, with your cheque to the address above, stating how many certificates you would like.
Please pray for Caroline as she seeks to move the vision forward. The current needs are: that NGO status in Madagascar is quickly approved and that God will provide both the finance needed and a team of workers to help her.
