Students
In the last few years, students have started making Pip n Jay their home away from home in increasing numbers. We now have a vibrant student community and a dedicated worker who helps this body to grow as leaders of people, and followers of God.

Discipleship For Students |
|
We love God and want to raise up a people, a group of leaders who have lives of integrity and are influential for God in their halls and Campus, and on their course, releasing disciple making disciples. Supportive and challenging relationships are key as we seek to encourage each other in this.
As a student leadership we want to equip students to follow Jesus in an increasingly radical way, inspiring people to live into new levels of devotion to Him.
Whilst we will have small groups and saturday night worship as places to gather, share and be inspired we also wanted to invest heavily in relationships through starting life groups.
Life groups have 2/3 people in them and are places of very intentional discipleship where we are accountable about reading the word, honest about our passions and struggles and a place where we pray for the lost in our lives. These groups are high on intimacy with each other and this allows us to develope the disciplines of life that can empower us to recognise where God is at work every moment of every day.
Ultimately it is a people sensitive to what God is already doing that will see a city changed.

Greg Sharples writes:
Pip n Jay has a growing number of students. This year we have five who are involved in the leadership of the Christian Union (CU). The Bristol University Christian Union is a group of Christian students who want to share the good news of Jesus Christ with other students.
We believe that as Christian students at Bristol University we are in a unique position to do this. We’re not a church; rather, a missionary community that seeks to share Christ with our friends and course-mates.
Some of our regular activities consist of first year and international students meeting weekly as groups in their accommodation, prayer breakfasts, evangelistic talks and discussions to bring friends along, and a general campus service every Thursday night. We aim to equip each other with the tools needed to be active in our University campus so that we may desire and be able to share this incredible Hope.
Please pray for Nat, Lizzie, Bex, Emily and Sam (who is also on our PCC). They need our support as they lead out mission on Campus. It is also student exam season, so prayers for all students to find rest in Jesus at this busy time would be greatly appreciated. |

Essential student info
You can meet us at Pip n Jay - lots of students come to the 6.30pm Sunday services. There is also:
"Saturday Night Worship" - 6.30pm every two weeks (Check the "What's On" calendar for exact dates) - a chance to get together and meet Jesus. The idea is to equip us for worship for the whole of the week in the whole of life.
Life groups - two or three people getting together to pray and share about life and God's word in an involving and structured way. You can download the structure and key questions for discipleship here (PDF).
