Students
In the last few years, students have started making Pip n Jay their home away from home in increasing numbers. We now have a vibrant student community and a dedicated worker who helps this body to grow as leaders of people, and followers of God.

Greg Sharples writes:
Pip n Jay has a growing number of students. This year we have five who are involved in the leadership of the Christian Union (CU). The Bristol University Christian Union is a group of Christian students who want to share the good news of Jesus Christ with other students.
We believe that as Christian students at Bristol University we are in a unique position to do this. We’re not a church; rather, a missionary community that seeks to share Christ with our friends and course-mates.
Some of our regular activities consist of first year and international students meeting weekly as groups in their accommodation, prayer breakfasts, evangelistic talks and discussions to bring friends along, and a general campus service every Thursday night. We aim to equip each other with the tools needed to be active in our University campus so that we may desire and be able to share this incredible Hope.
Please pray for Nat, Lizzie, Bex, Emily and Sam (who is also on our PCC). They need our support as they lead out mission on Campus. It is also student exam season, so prayers for all students to find rest in Jesus at this busy time would be greatly appreciated. |

Being good is often misunderstood as just avoiding being bad! Instead of being a clear influence for Goodness, followers of Jesus are often associated more with not drinking until we’re blind, not having sex and not taking drugs. We see goodness more as healing the sick, looking for opportunities to serve, and seeing poor and the broken restored! The question for our student community is... how can we actually be a GOOD people? |

It's great to get together to worship God with our bodies and voices. But how can we worship him with our money, time and effort too? So it becomes apparent to anyone that Jesus is the priority in our lives....
One of the reasons we gather to praise is to say again "God you are the most important thing in my life"! In his grace He meets with us in that. Our hope is that out of encounter with Jesus we'll be changed to make Him the most important thing wherever we are! Recognising that he has something to say about sickness, sadness, poverty.......and being willing to engage with Gods purposes when we see it.
Last week we looked at how we can get a bigger and more detailed vision of Jesus. Next we'll be looking at what happens when we worship him like he deserves.

Essential student info
You can meet us at Pip n Jay - lots of students come to the 6.30pm Sunday services. There is also:
"Saturday Night Worship" - 6.30pm every two weeks (Check the "What's On" calendar for exact dates) - a chance to get together and meet Jesus. The idea is to equip us for worship for the whole of the week in the whole of life.
Small groups - get together, share experiences and follow Jesus together in a group near you. With a mixture of bible study and chances to grow through practical mission work, connecting with a Pip n Jay group will help you grow as a disciple.
