We love God and want to raise up a people, a group of leaders who have lives of integrity and are influential for God in their halls and Campus, and on their course, releasing disciple making disciples. Supportive and challenging relationships are key as we seek to encourage each other in this.
As a student leadership we want to equip students to follow Jesus in an increasingly radical way, inspiring people to live into new levels of devotion to Him.
Whilst we will have small groups and saturday night worship as places to gather, share and be inspired we also wanted to invest heavily in relationships through starting life groups.
Life groups have 2/3 people in them and are places of very intentional discipleship where we are accountable about reading the word, honest about our passions and struggles and a place where we pray for the lost in our lives. These groups are high on intimacy with each other and this allows us to develope the disciplines of life that can empower us to recognise where God is at work every moment of every day.
Ultimately it is a people sensitive to what God is already doing that will see a city changed.

Here are the three dimensions of a Life Group, and the activity involved for each:
1. UP - Deepening relationship with God
Bible reading
We are accountable to reading an agreed amount of scripture each week, so God’s word and what He thinks shape our lives more. As we read, ask these 4 questions:
- What does this tell me about people?
- What does this tell me about God?
- What can I learn here?
- Who am I going to tell?
Meditation
We memorize weekly words of Jesus (we recommend trying to learn the Sermon on the Mount, over a period of time), this helps inspire prayer and connection with Him.
2. IN - Deepening relationship with followers of Jesus
We ask each other these challenging questions, designed to deepen our relationships. We can only truly be supported when we are known. These questions encourage a deeper level of honesty and relationship:
- Have you spent daily time in scripture and prayer?
- Have you had any flirtations or lustful attitudes, tempting thoughts or exposed yourself to any explicit material that would not glorify God?
- Have you compared yourself to anyone resulting in judgement or condemnation for them or yourself?
- Have you been completely above reproach in your financial dealings?
- Have you spent quality time with family and friends?
- Have done 100% in your job?
- Have you told any lies or half truths, putting yourself in a better light than those around you?
- Have you shared Jesus with an unbeliever?
- Have you taken care of your body through exercise, proper eating and sleep?
- Have you allowed any person or circumstance to rob you of your joy?
- Who can currently rebuke you?
- Have you stepped out in faith this week, putting yourself in a place where you need God to show up?
- Are there areas of indiscipline you need to address?
- Have you lied in any of your answers?
3. OUT - Deepening love for people who don't know Jesus
Regular prayer for people in your life that you want to see come to know Him. This will allow you to grow in love for them. It is an opportunity to ask God what His heart is for those people and be prepared to listen and then tell them. You may choose to write down who your praying for and what God says about them. Choosing to go and share words of encouragement or prophecy with them may be scary but it will also be exciting!
