Every Anglican church has a Parochial Church Council (PCC). This has the legal right and duty to govern the financial affairs of the church. It is responsible for the care and maintenance of the church building and its goods and ornaments, co-operating with the vicar in promoting the whole mission of the church. It is elected by the church membership at the church's Annual General Meeting.

On this page, you can find a record of Pip n Jay PCC's meetings and decisions. For more information, see this page about our church leadership or, for specific PCC queries, contact PCC Secretary Duncan Wakelin.

At its Annual General Meeting (AGM), the church elects people to serve as Wardens and on the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

This year, the church wardens are the same as last year — Bruce and Simon. There was no vote needed as there were only 2 names proposed.

But this year we had an election for the two places allocated for those under 25 as four young men stood. John Houghton and Sam Ievins were the two elected. The other places on the PCC were elected as normal.

So this year’s PCC is as follows:
Wardens: Bruce McKay & Simon Thorne
Treasurer: Mark Butt
PCC: Rob Hook, John Houghton, Sam Ievins, Jill Kells, Bill Knox, Bern Leckie, Andrew Macpherson, Sheila McKay (PCC deputy chairman), Ruth Richardson, Greg Sharples, Duncan Wakelin (PCC Secretary) and Sally Wright.
Deanery Synod Reps (as last year): John Goodgame (also PCC chairman), Sally Bertram, Bruce McKay and Wendy Watson
Diocesan Synod members (as last year): Alan Reader and David Shepherd

Do pray for the PCC.

The Archdeacon was present at the AGM and reported that as of 22nd April he had received 15 requests for Application Packs for the new priest-in-charge at Pip n Jay.
