How can we be radical about generosity? We are going to get back to the heart of whose stuff it is anyway.

Scripture speaks a lot about giving generously. Churches are known to talk a lot about money.
The Macedonians in 2 Corinthians 8 and 9 begged Paul to let them be generous; yet they were well below the poverty line. King David at the high point of the Monarchy in 1 Chronicles 29 led the leaders to give personally and generously to the building of one of the most amazing Temples in history; yet he prayed publically that all wealth and honour belongs to God himself.
In January we are going to be radical about generosity. We are going to get back to the heart of whose stuff it is anyway. We are going to see the real temple that the Holy Spirit indwells. We are going to see that it is not primarily about what Jesus wants from us but what Jesus wants for us.
We may be surprised that being generous with God's generosity results in gaining the very thing money cannot buy.
