VIP Tuesdays

We've talked the talk of Vision, now we've also started walking the walk of putting this Vision into Practice as groups of disciples have been working out the next steps in their life together in Bristol.

Between January and March 2013, Pip n Jay hosted eight sessions for everyone in church to have time to dream, raise expectations and make plans for current and new groups to live into all the Lord has for us.

  1. January 8th - Purpose
  2. January 15th - Principles
  3. January 22nd - Priorities
  4. January 29th - Process
  5. February 19th - People
  6. February 26th - Places
  7. March 12th - Plan
  8. March 19th - Present

To sample and get hold of the books talked about in the sessions, visit our online bookstore.

One of our findings in these sessions were that different groups were in different stages, or seasons, of life. Some were ready to start new things and grow, while several more were in a season where they needed to cut back activity and rest together before launching something new. VIP Tuesday organiser Mal Calladine reflects on what happened and what is coming next for groups in an article here.

In the final VIP Tuesday session, three groups did decide they were ready to grow. Follow the links to see the plans these groups prepared during the VIP sessions and contact the leaders if you would like to join in.

Students - a "growing family of courageous worshippers after the fullness of God."

Birkin Street House Group - looking to "see God's kingdom come where we work (or spend the most time)" and meeting for food and fellowship

Simple Church Planting Group - praying corporately, gathering as community and organising their lives around mission, they hope to see new believers baptised this year

More details of groups you can join will appear here over coming weeks.
